What a beauty, isn’t she? The Maranta Lemon Lime is a very popular plant in this family. We totally understand that. What a beautiful dark green soft leaf this plant has. The striking yellow-green veins finish it off and make it really stand out! Another special feature of this plant is that the leaves of the Marantas move when it is dark. The leaves straighten up and even curl up a little. This looks a bit like praying hands, which is why she is nicknamed the Prayer Plant.
This beauty is a bit picky. Don't worry, with the right information you will be able to meet her requirements. It is important to know that Maranta Lemon Lime does not like to be left too dry for too long. We therefore recommend a reasonably steady water programme. Maranta is a genus of flowering plants in the Marantaceae family. It's found in Central and South American tropical regions and the West Indies. There are around 40 different species of Maranta known today.
The common name Prayer Plant or Praying Plant refers to members of the Maranta genus, which includes several species of plants with strikingly patterned leaves that fold up at night, as if in prayer. The closely related Calathea genus also includes plants that are sometimes called Prayer Plants because they show similar leaf movements.
