    about this plant

The Pilea Peperomioides Sugar is also known as the Chinese Money plant in English or “pancake plant” in Dutch. This variation is an extra rare cutie amongst the Pileas as she has a subtle silver pattern on her leaves, which makes it seem as if there’s sugar crystals on them. Asides from her excellent air filtering qualities this plant is also a grateful roommate. The Pilea Peperomioides Sugar grows and multiplies quickly, so before you know it you’ll have an entire Sugar family!

The Pilea needs a little bit a water on a weekly basis. Make sure to regularly check if the plant receives enough water, you can do this by weighting the plant and pot (heavy means it has a lot of water, light means it’s quite dry) or by putting your finger in the soil. Make sure that the soil is slightly moist at all times and doesn’t dry out, but make sure you don’t drown the plant either! The Pilea is happiest at a bright spot with plenty indirect sunlight.
